Experience
{1989} Fil de Fer

Tightwire is the skill of maintaining balance while walking along a tensioned wire between two points. It can be done either using a balancing tool (umbrella, fan, balance pole, etc.) or "freehand", using only one's body to maintain balance. Typically, tightwire performances either include dance or object manipulation, which include a variety of props, such as clubs, rings, hats, or canes.

Dressed in Yellow with blue highlights and a tuft of features French import Pasqualina makes walking the tightrope something of a mini-ballet. After a few hair-raising maneuvers in traditional soft-shoe with a myriad of objects (from hoops to umbrellas), she changes to balletic pointe shoes and picks her way across the wire on her toes in what must surely be a one-of-a-kind performance. [NOTE: Pasqualina was later replaced by Nicky Dewhurst in late 1989 and in 1990.]
