| Presented for the first time in the world by Cirque du Soleil, this act is sure to
amaze audiences. Seven young women, on points, perform a ballet on light bulbs.
Intermission allows the audience to catch their breath. Upon return,
a stage-covering lantern that houses ghostly floating images treats
the eyes. When the shade lifts, a troupe of girls are revealed
standing on a platform made of light bulbs. The Ballet of Lights is
an act never used before in a Cirque du Soleil production. Did you know that when the Ballet on Lights act in Dralion first
premiered with the show it was the first time the routine had been seen
outside of China? The light bulbs used in the balancing platform were
custom-made in China and can hold a static weight of 700 pounds. |
