After embarking from the bus tour station at Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex, our first stop was the Space & Missile Museum at Complex 26 of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. While the facility is open to the public, you can only gain entrace to the Air Force station through its normal badging procedures (re: you better be in the Air Force), or via this tour - it's a real treat, let me tell you, well worth the extra expense!

The Air Force Space and Missile Museum preserves both the hardware and the spirit of United States' ventures into space, displaying numerous missiles, rockets and related space equipment created for that venture. In fact, that's its primary mission: to collect, restore, and exhibit items of historical signifance which relate to the development and heritave of U.S. Air Force space launch activities.
