My interest in music tends to skew more toward world themes and indie groups than to mainstream acts, but I'm all over the chart. I enjoy: The Beatles, KODO, The Prodigy {Experience, Gilted, FOTL & Singles}, Cirque du Soleil, Cast in Bronze, Barrage, Hevia, Deep Forest, Matchbox Twenty, Michael Jackson, Soundtracks, Musicals, Disney Park Music, Techno beats and various "world" flavors.


You know, I go to the movies quite a bit, but over the years only a select few have had the distinction to be called favorites. My favorite movies are (and don't laugh): "SpaceCamp", "WarGames", "Explorers", "Earth*Star Voyager", "The Lion King", "Hackers", "Apollo 13", "Titanic", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl", "Lilo and Stitch", "Brother Bear", "Finding Nemo", "Galaxy Quest", "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone", "Lost in Translation", "WALL-E" and "AVATAR" among others.


Cirque du Soleil (Favs are: Mystère, "O", Quidam, La Nouba, LOVE, Koozå, ZED, Amaluna), Teatro Zinzanni, "The Lion King", "Phantom of the Opera", "Beauty and the Beast", "Les Miserables", "Blast!", "STOMP", "CATS", "RENT", "Spring Awakening", and "Wicked".


I can't say I enjoy super-hero type comics but I do love those found in the funny papers, such as: {Strips}: Buckles, Dilbert, and Get Fuzzy. {Webcomics}: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Cyanide + Happiness, Penny Arcade, Sinfest, and XKCD.


Tastes in television programming come and go, however, I have enjoyed the following shows no longer on TV: The A-Team, MacGyver, Magnum PI, Knight Rider, the Dukes of Hazzard, M*A*S*H, Airwolf, Quantum Leap, ER, X-Files, Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Enterprise, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, "From the Earth to the Moon", ROME, Spartacus: Blood + Sand, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Dollhouse, Jericho, LOST, Futurama and Torchwood. Current TV favorites include: The Big Bang Theory, Castle, NCIS, Doctor Who, Warehouse 13, Downton Abbey, Suits, and Sherlock.


I've watched hundreds of series and anime films, but the following are my favorites: {Series}: Gundam Wing, Last Exile, Hikaru no Go, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fate/Stay Night, Azumanga Daioh, GANTZ, Haibane Renmei, Tenchi Muyo (the original), FLCL, Fruits Basket, Gungrave, Kino's Journey, DNAngel, BLEACH, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, DEATH NOTE, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Samurai Champloo, Karin, Fushigi Yugi, Kore Wa Zombie desu ka?, Strike Witches, Ghost Hunt, Muv Luv Total Eclipse, Another, Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, and Kokoro Connect. {Films}: "My Neighbor Totoro", "Nausica", "Spirited Away", "Vexile", "Voices of a Distant Star", "5 Centimeters Per Second", "Origin: Sprits of the Past", and "Appleseed" (new).


I'm not a prolific reader but I have enjoyed: "Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader", Ender Series ("Ender's Game", "Speaker for the Dead", "Xenocide"), Harry Potter (Faves: "Prisoner of Azkaban", "Gobblet of Fire", "Order of the Phoenix"), "Redwall", Inheritance Cycle ("Eragon", "Eldest", "Brzinger", "Inheritance"), His Dark Materials ("The Golden Compass", "The Subtle Knife"), "The Count of Monte Cristo", "The Snow Queen", "The Summer Queen", The Hunger Games Trilogy, "Catspaw", "A Fire Upon the Deep" and various Star Trek novels.


I have read many Star Trek books and some of my favorites are: "Best Destiny", "Sarek", "Yesterday's Son", "Mutiny on the Enterprise", "Wounded Sky", "My Enemy, My Ally", "Uhura's Song", "Killing Time", "Chain of Attack", "The Three-Minute Universe", "The Pandora Principle", "Doctor's Orders", "The Rift", "The Disinherited", "Windows on a Lost World", "Ex Machina", "Requium" (TNG), "Reunion" (TNG), "Crossover" (TNG), "Planet of Judgement" (Bantam), "Vulcan!" (Bantam), "World Without End" (Bantam), "The Galactic Whirlpool" (Bantam), and the entire Star Trek: Vanguard novel series.
