In collaboration with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Cirque du Soleil launched "Cirque Week" - an all inclusive "open house" at every one of its extravaganzas in Las Vegas, in 2010. It was an instant hit, and for the next three years afterward, Cirque du Soleil expanded their offerings into an all-out amazing event! Whether you were just a casual fan, an enthusiast, a Cirque Devotee, a Super fan or an Aficionado, Cirque Week was for you – here’s what was on tap:

      Custom Theater Technology Demonstration and Q&A

      The Beatles LOVE Theatre at The Mirage
      3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

      This event will bring music to your ears with a Cirque Week exclusive! Visit the most technically advanced Cirque du Soleil theater in Las Vegas – The Beatles LOVE – featuring a state-of-the-art sound demonstration through over 6,300 custom-made speakers. In addition, the technical presentation will showcase 11 lifts that make up the stage, 24 digital projectors, 204 moving lights and much more! A Q&A opportunity will follow the technology demonstration, featuring experts in the areas of Sound, Automation, Lighting, and Projections. Learn all about the technical aspects of LOVE, from the theater construction and working with the Creators, to what it takes to run shows each night at LOVE. A magical mystery tour you will not want to miss!

      Viva ELVIS Unplugged Musical Performance and Q&A

      GOLD Lounge Aria Resort and Casino
      5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

      On Wednesday, you’ll find out why TIME Magazine proclaimed, “The Strip Has Another King Now” as Viva ELVIS musicians serenade you with an acoustic performance from the show. Following the performance, the musicians and the show’s music supervisor will be available for a Q&A (about the re-imagined music from the show). Be sure to check out the historical photo collection of ELVIS and his jumpsuits.

    Put on your blue suede shoes and join cast & crew members at the Elvis Theater to learn what it takes to pay tribute to The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll every night. With an on-stage demo of the Jailhouse Rock set, attendees will see what it takes to move a 3-story 90,000 lb set piece and learn how the artists perform upside down.

    KÀ “BATTLE 2011” Q&A

    Cirque du Soleil shows constantly evolve from the minute they open their doors for their very first performance. The finale of KÀ – the gravity-defying Battle between good and evil – has been undergoing a major transformation for more than a year to prepare for the addition of new characters to the scene. Members of the cast, Artistic and Technical teams will discuss what it takes to make such a large change to the show more than six years and 3,000 performances.

    Back by popular demand, Cirque du Soleil presents the third annual CIRQUE WEEK, offering fans the experience of a lifetime with access to an 8-day series of exclusive events. Cirque du Soleil is known worldwide for its unique entertainment experiences featuring high flying acrobats, mystical characters and state-of-the-art technology. CIRQUE WEEK offers fans the opportunity to get an all-access look into how these extraordinary shows come to life nightly. CIRQUE WEEK packages range from $150 for a two-show ticket package to $540 which includes tickets to all seven Cirque du Soleil productions in Las Vegas.

    “We are excited to offer fans CIRQUE WEEK for the third year,” said Jordan Fiksenbaum, vice president of marketing and public relations for Cirque du Soleil. “This year we have added new and exclusive events different from what was presented in the past, making it possible for return guests to dive deeper into the world of Cirque du Soleil while still allowing new fans to discover the magic for the first time.”

    “O” – BEHIND THE WATER
    “O” Theatre at Bellagio

    Guests are given a behind-the-scenes look at what makes the master machine of water operate with a tour throughout the backstage areas, including above and beneath the water and all places in between. Tour stops include getting an up close and personal look with major show props, visiting the areas behind the curtain and even offering guests the opportunity to scoop their own drops of “O” water from the pool. *Event is capped at 100 guests.

    LOVE SOUND AND SET DEMONSTRATION
    LOVE Theatre at The Mirage

    LOVE will offer Cirque Week guests the chance to hear The Beatles music like never before, featuring a state-of-the-art sound demonstration through over 6,300 custom-made speakers. In addition to the demonstration, guests will have a chance to get up close and personal with some of their favorite scenes from the show. During this event, fans will have an exclusive opportunity to interact with set pieces that are used in every performance of LOVE.

    CHINESE POLES DEMONSTRATION AND Q&A
    Mystère Theatre at Treasure Island

    Mystère recently added two new acts and nearly 20 performers to the show. Members of our Artistic and Technical teams will talk about what was like to make major changes to an existing show, and new artists will talk about making the transition from one Cirque du Soleil show to another. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy a demonstration of the new Chinese Poles act at Mystère.

    GO BEHIND THE SCENES WITH ZUMANITY
    Zumanity Theatre at New York – New York

    Guests will have the opportunity to observe a training of one of the show’s signature acts from a vantage point seldom seen by the outside world, followed by a Q&A session with the artists and crew in the gorgeous Zumanity Theatre. Audience participation at Zumanity is always highly encouraged!

    BELIEVE “MAGIC WITH MAESTRO”
    Believe Theatre at Luxor

    Join Criss’ right hand man, Maestro, along with his show sidekicks Slim, Lars, and Luigi as they give guests an interactive look at some of their favorite comedic magic tricks! Guest are also welcome to take a tour through the newly updated lobby experience, which includes memorabilia from Criss’ days in magic, including true-to-life sized custom choppers, a dunk tank and even the infamous bed of nails. The visit is wrapped by a panel discussion from show staff that give a look at the various changes and new illusions that have been incorporated into the show since it’s opening in 2008.

    KÀ & MARVEL COMIC BOOK PANEL
    KÀ Theatre at MGM Grand

    KÀ by Cirque du Soleil and Marvel Entertainment have teamed up to tell the heroic journey of KÀ through an all-new, collectible comic book: KÀ #1. Cirque Week will offer fans an exclusive copy of the Comic Book and the chance to ask the team a series of questions about the collaboration and creation of the book and get photos with some of the characters who have been immortalized by Marvel.

    ZARKANA 101
    Zarkana Theater at ARIA Resort & Casino

    Learn the history of Zarkana from those who have traveled the world with the show. Learn what it takes to move a massive set across the planet and what it was like to perform in some of the most prestigious theatres – Radio City Music Hall and Kremlin State Palace Theatre. Guests will hear what changes have been made to the show to fit its new home at ARIA.

    Treasure Island – TI Las Vegas will be the host hotel for this year’s headquarters where attendees can pick up their CIRQUE WEEK gift and credential. *The headquarters will be located at the registration desk on the second floor (convention/wedding level) which can be accessed by using the hotel guest elevators.

    ZUMANITY
    Zumanity Theatre at New York – New York
    3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

    Guests will experience a rehearsal featuring all of the beautiful costumes, custom-designed by famed designer Thierry Mugler, and characters from Zumanity’s finale act, Extravaganza. Following the rehearsal, there will be a Q&A with select artists and representatives from Wardrobe who will talk about the fashions of Zumanity.

    Fire! Learn what it takes for the performers and technicians to deal with the intense inferno acts night after night. The live fire demonstration will be followed by an in-depth Q&A.

    ZARKANA
    Zarkana Theater at ARIA Resort & Casino
    3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

    Zarkana cast & crew will put on their teaching caps to give attendees a hands on class in some of the essential parts of the show, both on stage and off. Courses may include Rigging, Clowning, Wardrobe, Music, Juggling/Body Percussion. Class times are: 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm, 2:45 pm – 3:15 pm, and 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm. *Each time slot is limited to 100 attendees. Attendees will only be able to sign up for one time slot. Courses are subject to change and will be selected at random.

    ONE NIGHT FOR ONE DROP

    Guests will see footage of the inaugural One Night for ONE DROP, a one-night-only performance in Las Vegas benefitting ONE DROP, the non-profit organization created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, that strives to ensure that water is accessible to all, today and forever. The show featured more than 230 Cirque du Soleil artists and guest performers such as Jackie Evancho, David Garibaldi, a dance piece choreographed by Sonya Tayeh and an original composition by award-winning composer Danny Elfman. Guests will also have a chance to meet the newly appointed director of One Night for ONE DROP 2014 and get to attend a rehearsal and a sneak preview of next year’s performance.

    The characters of Mystère revealed. Meet the fantastical characters of Mystère and learn about the inspiration and story behind some of Cirque’s most beloved characters

    Guests will have the unprecedented opportunity to learn “Thriller” choreography with cast from the show. Please note that no filming or photography will be allowed.     CIRQUE WEEK RECEPTION
    Gilley’s at Treasure Island – TI

    To thank our devoted Cirque fans, attendees are invited to a reception at Gilley’s at Treasure Island. Attendees will have a chance to mix and mingle with Cirque staff, enjoy some of Gilley’s amazing appetizers and signature Cirque cocktails. Plus, there will be a special appearance by Mystère iconic characters! *Advanced registration is not required for this event. Your CIRQUE WEEK credential will serve as your entry

    KA
    KÀ Theatre at MGM Grand
    3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

    See a special demonstration of the “Wash-Up” act followed by the chance to get up close and personal with some of KÀ’s puppets. Guests will receive a special gift inspired by the act.

    LIGHT REHEARSAL
    LIGHT Nightclub at Mandalay Bay
    5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

    LIGHT, the first-ever nightclub turned on by Cirque du Soleil, will open its doors for a special rehearsal for Cirque Week. The club features Cirque du Soleil acts throughout the night and Cirque Week attendees will see the action in the afternoon while the performers rehearse. Must be 21 years of age or older to attend. *Advanced registration is not required for this event. Your CIRQUE WEEK credential will serve as your entry.

    CRISS ANGEL BELIEVE
    CRISS ANGEL Believe Theatre at Luxor
    3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

    Fans will have the opportunity to see an episode of the new Spike TV series “Criss Angel Believe” featuring Criss’ crazy stunts and illusions taped live here in Las Vegas! The screening will be followed by a Q&A with select members of the show production team.

    THE BEATLES LOVE
    LOVE Theatre at The Mirage
    2:00 pm – 2:45 pm & 3:00 pm – 3:45 pm

    At LOVE, a dance workshop will be hosted by Dance Master Katy Tate and LOVE’s Dance Captains. Fans will be able to learn a special routine to their favorite music that is exclusive to The Beatles LOVE production. Release forms will need to be signed in advance. Due to the interactive nature of this event, release forms will need to be signed in advance. Please wear comfortable shoes. *Capacity capped at 50 people / session. 45 minute sessions will be held at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
