Waves That Cross Borders...

On the waves of the legendary Ràdio Andorra, two strangers request the same song at the same time, thousands of miles apart. Intrigued by this twist of fate, they set off for Andorra to meet their musical soulmate.

With the swing and big band era in full flow, their lives converge on a musical journey through Europe, driven by the legendary faceless voices of Ràdio Andorra. On stage, two singers embody these legendary voices, while the invisible waves are brought to life through exceptional acrobatic numbers, some of which are presented as world premieres.

Ràdio Andorra is a love letter to Europe and to the magic of the waves that unite hearts beyond borders.

    • THE STAGE — From the intimacy of the Ràdio Andorra studio to the frenzy of the invisible waves emitted by the antennas, the scenography takes us across Europe alongside our two protagonists. Illuminated arches with the appearance of inverted antennas, inspired by the decorative glass windows of Ràdio Andorra, structure the space, while the set evolves to the rhythm of the story. From a brand-new cabaret to a popular festival in the heart of the Pyrenees, this architectural aesthetic guides us on this musical journey, presenting symbolic places of the era and giving the invisible waves a living body.

    • THE MUSIC — The musical direction is inspired by the Cirque du Soleil’s rich repertoire, combined with the dance sounds typical of the vibrant era of the Trente Glorieuses. Two live singers, with jazzy-swing accents, embody the legendary faceless voices of Ràdio Andorra in a brand-new musical story, driven by their harmonious and powerful vocal duet.

    • COSTUMES — Created as a result of the explosion and extravagance of the wild years of jazz and swing, in the heart of a Europe undergoing a rebuilding process, the costumes combine the captivating and eccentric elegance of music hall cabarets with the oriental influences of floral prints brought from the East. These key trends in the Art Deco aesthetic of the period create a rich, colourful, and mesmerising visual signature, bringing the scenes that unfold on stage to life.

    • THE MAKEUP — Inspired by the European cabarets of the 1940s and 1950s, the makeup combines the extravagant, glittering glamour of the era with the creative theatricality of the Cirque du Soleil. A powerful aesthetic that evokes the elegance, exuberance and zest for life of this era of European renaissance.

    • ACROBATICS — Ràdio Andorra transports the audience on a musical journey to the rhythm of jazz and swing. The performance is projected towards us like captivating, festive and dizzying musical waves. Among the world premieres is a frenetic and brand-new Tournik act, in which acrobats embody the movement of radio waves with electric and pulsating impulses. There is also an acro-fire duo that immerses the audience in the heart of a popular festival, where skill and audacity are juxtaposed in a contagious joy.

    • PERSONAGES
      • Blaza and Nicole: The singers of the story, inspired by the voices of Ràdio Andorra and the great ladies of jazz, to whom they pay homage with elegance and exuberance.
      • Gloria and Lasso: Two strangers united by fate, coincidentally request the same song from Ràdio Andorra from opposite sides of Europe. Intrigued, they travel to Andorra with the hope of turning this coincidence into a love story.
      • The Bojangles: Dancers inspired by tap dancing, bring the radio waves to life and guide the protagonists on a journey full of rhythm and energy.
