    February 14, 2015 — Mystere's Red Bird, Yellow Bird, and others were out to help Nación ESPN celebrate it's 4th anniversary.

    February 15, 2015 — Members of Zarkana's flag team were out to give support to The USA Sevens, the largest annual rugby competition in North America. Introduced in 2004, and held at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas since 2010, the USA Sevens tournament features 16 teams representing countries from every continent, including the host.

    February 26, 2015 — Las Vegas tourists got a free eyeful of sexiness when Cirque du Soleil’s libidinous “Zumanity” performers put on a few minutes of their show in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, featuring the "Chains" performance. The public display was at 4:30pm on the outdoor Brooklyn Bridge in front of the New York-New York hotel.

    March 14, 2015 — The Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament, played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, featured KÀ by Cirque du Soleil. Artists performed both the national anthem and a halftime performance of the Championship game.

    May 8, 2015 — At 5:30 pm, Cirque du Soleil kicked off Rock in Rio with an electrifying, never-before-seen performance on the Main Stage that featured a unique multi-sensory experience complete with astounding acrobatics, breathtaking aerial acts, live music and exciting pyro. Created specifically for Rock in Rio by Cirque du Soleil Artistic Director Sandi Croft, the 15-minute montage featured some of the most gifted performers from all of the resident shows in Las Vegas.

    July 10, 2015 — The opening sequence found A Tribe Called Red’s DJ Shub twisting vinyl on elevated turntables as 183 vibrantly clad dancers nodded to the city’s diversity with a “Powwow Carnival” that sought to incorporate choreography from countless cultures. Cirque’s production featured at various points a fleet of BMX cyclists hurtling up and over ramps, a cheeky sequence of jukebox-based choreography set to a mashup of semi-recent pop tunes and abstractly edgy multimedia accompaniments.     July 25, 2015 — "Extreme Weight Loss" is an ABC reality television docu-series that follows participants over a year to document their weight-loss journey. [Tiffany Humpert’s] episode, which aired from 8-10 p.m, included performers from Cirque du Soleil’s "La Nouba."

    September 29, 2015 — Scientific Games announced a new partnership with Cirque du Soleil to produce a slot machine game based on KOOZA. The experience is an eye- catching, bonus-rich slot game that combines Scientific Games’ Pro Wave 360° slot configuration with the acrobatic adrenaline rush of KOOZA.     November 19, 2015 — Saam Farahmand at ROGUE FILMS created this revolutionary advertisement for Lipton’s new T.O Tea machine for Tribal Worldwide London in collaboration with adam&eveDDB. The advert combines cutting-edge filming techniques with beautiful in-air and underwater performances by Cirque du Soleil. The ad draws inspiration from T.O by Lipton's visible brew orb, a unique aspect of the product – in which you can see the tea brewing. To create a visualisation of the tea leaves dancing and blending inside the orb, Cirque du Soleil performed underwater in colourful outfits representing specific flavours – each one behaving as the tea leaves and capturing the spirit and essence of the brewing process.     December 3, 2015 — Cirque helped produce "The Wiz" LIVE for NBC. It stared newcomer Shanice Williams as Dorothy alongside Grammy and Golden Globe-winner Queen Latifah as the Wizard, nine-time Grammy-winner Mary J. Blige as Evillene, original Dorothy, Stephanie Mills, as Auntie Em and David Alan Grier as the Cowardly Lion.

    December 15, 2015 — Two 10 minute performances were presented at an Awards Ceremony in Mumbai, India. Manuel Bissonnette was the Show Director, and it featured: Icarian Games, Aerial Cube, Aerial Cube Duo (using Dralion Tissu costumes), Korean Plank (using Totem Russian Bar costumes), Rola Bola (Kurios Style), Aerial Straps, and Korean Cradle/Pole.     February 14, 2016 — 45 DEGREES harnessed Cirque du Soleil’s creative power to custom-tailor a five-minute opening show for the NBA All-Star Game in Toronto, the first-ever to take place in Canada. Weaving together acrobatics, dance and technology, the performance took the audience on a tribute to basketball — the game, the dream, its heroes and the culture.     February 26, 2016 — Cirque du Soleil offered an interactive Luzia exhibit in the entrance of Complexe Desjardins. Thanks to augmented reality and body-recognition technology, participants [were] transformed into one of the show's symbolic animals and appear on screen within an interactive virtual world. Ugo Laffolay performed his hand-balancing act (with canes) as part of Tohu's Coups de Coeur series that also included Emi Vauthey's aerial silk performance from Cirque Éloize and clay juggler Jimmy Gonzalez.

    March 19, 2016 — Creating an extravagant experience has always been at the heart of the company, but with Las Vegas getting more and more crowded and shows constantly drumming up noise for footfall, Cique du Soleil felt that it would benefit more by turning the volume down. The brand decided to get more intimate with its consumer. One way the show decided to get more intimate with its consumers was by inviting them in back stage to get to know its designers and musicians and telling their stories as well. Cirque launched its first ever half day Master Class, teaching dance to the public. “It is a completely different way of engaging our customers from the past.”

    March 27, 2016 — Produkt and 45 DEGREES turned the world-renowned Bal en Blanc EDM festival into a benefit event to help make safe water available to all. Five Cirque acts performing during the Sultan+Shepard set were lit by an array of Clay Paky fixtures provided by 4U2C. "We made a special design with six Clay Paky Scenius spots and eight Mythos on a 16×16-foot riser in the middle of the space. The dance floor was covered with 90 Sharpys."

{2016} /// La Nouba Attempts Rare Acrobatic Feat

    March 31, 2016 — La Nouba's energetic Trapeze troupe attempted two rarely performed tricks via livestream. The first, a Double & 1/2 layout to the legs, is an extremely skillful maneuver that includes a 2 1/2 backward layout with a twist, all performed within seconds before the artists is caught by his legs. The second, a Quadruple layout, which is rumored to be completed less than 20 times in the 150 year history of Trapeze. Although the trapeze team did not achieve this amazing feat during the first show of the evening, they nailed both skills during the second show. [VIDEO]

    April 19, 2016 — Pursuing the same goal of acting responsibly as a business, Cirque and Swarovski gave Fashion Business students at École supérieure de mode (ESM), part of l’École des sciences de la gestion de l’Université du Québec à Montréal (ESG UQAM), the opportunity to reimagine Swarovski crystal- embellished costumes that have previously appeared in some Cirque shows.     August 16, 2016 — Cirque du Soleil canceled 40 performances of this 45 DEGREES show called Blüm, which was scheduled from August 16 to September 17, 2016. Blüm was custom designed for the Horticultural Expo 2016 Antalya, held in Turkey until October 30. "We were not able to ensure the safety of our employees to our satisfaction." – Marie-Hélène Lagacé, Senior Public Relations Manager said. A total of 70 people were involved in the show.

    September 23, 2016 — Performers from Cirque’s seven resident shows on the Las Vegas Strip entertained festival attendees throughout the day at the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Eighth Street, with performances occurring at 4:30pm, 5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:00pm. Fans saw the dislocation act from Zumanity, the Nowhere Men from The Beatles LOVE, and much more.

    September 28, 2016 — Luzia's Juggler Rudolf Janecek put his superior eye and hand coordination to the test setting the Guinness World Record for the fastest juggler on the planet. Janecek took on the challenge during a live sanctioned event in the west wing of Toronto’s Union Station. Under the watchful eye of official Guinness World Records adjudicator Andrew Glass, he set the benchmark for the most individual juggling rotations in 30 seconds with five clubs - at 429 rotations!     October 3, 2016 — Acrobats, aerialists, dancers and fire-stick performers from six Cirque shows were part of one of the biggest episodes ever of ABC’s DANCING WITH THE STARS. It unfolded on the ballroom floor as the 11 remaining couples performed big-spectacle dances for a Cirque theme night. Each couple performed a dance inspired by a Cirque show while the amazing Cirque stars perform alongside them.
