    January 15, 2007 — To celebrate the launch of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ F1 car and team, the big boss of the McLaren racing team, Ron Dennis, called on the services of the Cirque Special Events team to wow the audience.

{2007} /// Superbowl XLI Pre-Game Show

    February 4, 2007 — Cirque du Soleil and Miami-based artist Romero Britto teamed to celebrate South Florida and football in this unprecedented performance inspired by Brazilian street theater entitled "One Day, One Game, One Dream".

{2007} /// Cirque at "NBA All-Star Game"

    February 18, 2007 — Cirque du Soleil's inclusion into the NBA All-Star Game and show was minimal; however, Roxane Potvin (Singer, "O") performed the Canadian National Anthem prior to tip off and a melange of musical selections ("Blizzard", "O Makunde" and "Pageant"_ were heard for the half-time show performance, which included the baton twirling segement from KÀ.

{2007} /// Cirque at "Fox Searchlight Oscar Party"

    February 23, 2007 — As part of the festivities surrounding the Oscars ceremony, two zebras (Dan Headacher and Olessia Gaidych) and two contortionists (Saraana Gantumur and Turchimeg Turbat) from "O" dazzled the celebrities attending the bash. A third contortionist (Undarma Gold), formerly of "O" performed alongside. [ FOTO ]

{2007} /// "K'ABA" - Champ Car Mont-Tremblant

    July 1, 2007 — An exclusive 12 hour celebration to cap off the Champ Car Mont-Tremblant weekend. The event featured unique live performances atop Mont Tremblant at the Grand Manitou, which was transformed into a Tribal Village featuring Cirque performers in show costume from Corteo, Alegria and Dralion. Performances included Russian Bar, Cyr Wheel and Chinese mast climbers. If that wasn’t enough, patrons enjoyed dancing from dusk till dawn with music spun by Alain Vinet.     July 29, 2007 — Cirque's Special Events team created a unique happening to help FIAT launch its newest BRAVO model at the Stadio dMarmi in Rome. [FOTOS]

{2007} /// CHU Sainte-Justine Centennial Feast

    August 4, 2007 — The CHU Sainte-Justine Mother and Child University Hospital Center of the University of Montreal, Quebec (Canada) celebrate their 100th Anniversary. Part of the festivities was the Great Centennial Fair at the Jean-de-Brébeuf Collège, which featured an array of Cirque du Soleil performers, including: The Bouncing Beds from Corteo, the White Singer from Alegria, and Elena Lev's Hoops Manipulation act.

    August 28, 2007 — Cirque du Soleil surprised audiences to perform for the grand opening celebrations for the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel in Macau, China., where it stages the first Asian-based resident production: ZAIA.

    September 8, 2007 — Delta Airline's SKY Magazine asks fliers: "Do you want to join the circus?" In their Portfolio column this month, Nancy Oakley takes us on a journey to experience life under the big top where she discoveres it's hard work: hours of physical training, costume and makeup sessions, not to mention the daily performances. But for seven artists who spoke to SKY, the art of make-believe is more about ardor than arduousness. Hear from Chantal Blanchard (Singer, Saltimbanco), Martin Monderie (Sexy Boy, Saltimbanco), James Clowney (Ringmaster, Saltimbanco) and Brian Beech (Innocent Youth, Alegria).

{2007} /// Koozå: Setting a Guinness World Record

    September 15, 2007 — Contortionists Julie Bergez, Natasha Patterson and Dasha Sovik set a new Guinness World Record for the Highest Circus Act ever. The feat was performed on the observation deck of the CN Tower in Toronto, 342 meters above ground. Guinness officials confirmed the record on October 3rd. Daniel Ross (Kooza's Artistic Coordinator), Jason Barrent (The Trickster), and Stéphane Landry (The Innocent) were on hand for the event. Additionally, visitors standing on the Glass Floor were treated to a 15x10 meter colorful mural by Toronto artist Bill Wrigley, who painted a large Trickster for the occasion! [ PHOTOS ]

{2007} /// Cirque at "Macy's Passport Pre-Gala"

    September 20, 2007 — Macy's Passport Gala is one of the largest and longest-running HIV/AIDS fundraising event. Artists from Mystère took over the reception and a main performance featuring Marco and Paulo Lorador proved to be the highlight of the gala. During the bidding of a Cirque package, Kelly Tucker (Spermato) and Arnaud Bertrand (Green Lizard) worked the runway. The two were having so much fun they forgot to leave the runway and accidentally stayed on stage while a dog was auctioned off! Other artists who participated were: Yanelis Brooks, Magalie Chacon, Nancy Chen-Ouellet, Sebastian Coin, Yarik Dobrovolskyi, Bernard Gaddis, Dima Pavlenko and Eli Skoczylas.     January 29, 2008 — United Motor Works (UMW Holdings Berhad), a Malaysian Business in Automotive, Equipment, Manufacturing & Engineering and Oil & Gas unveiled their new identity in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The show included an extensive performance by the performers of Alegria.

{2008} /// Cirque at "50th Annual Grammy Awards"

    February 10, 2008 — 25 dancers and acrobats performed a specially edited "Day in the Life" segment from LOVE opposite Carol Woods & Timmy Mitchum's performance of "Let it Be" from "Across the Universe". Cirque received two nominations for its LOVE album - "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or other Visual Medium" and "Best Surround Sound Album". It won both.     May 6, 2008 — Cirque du Soleil performes at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) conference for Nakheel, where the organization showcases its contribution to Dubai's tourism. {2008} /// Cirque @ "GM NEXT Event"

    May 20, 2008 — About 5,500 General Motors Europe stakeholders and representatives of the GM Brands Cadillac, Corvette, Hummer, Saab, Opel/Vauxhall, and Chevrolet from 69 countries met in Cologne, Germany.     June 14, 2008 — Cirque du Soleil makes its way through the EXPO 2008 site in Zaragoza, Spain with a day parade featuring acts by artists from different disciplines: acrobatics, actors, gymnasts, singers and musicians.

    July 15, 2008 — Infiniti, the official sponsor of Cirque's touring shows in Canada, launched a 30-second spot, which brilliantly showcased the two brands. The Advert featured a specially dyed yellow silk tissu and the driving portion of the commercial was filmed in the Ville-Marie Tunnel in Montreal. [FOTO]

    October 24, 2008 — Cirque helps support the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) through a very special and private event entitled "Forever Young", held at Cipriani 42nd Street, a prestigious restaurant on East 42nd Street in NYC. [FOTOS]

{2009} /// Cirque @ QBWA Awards Gala

    February 25, 2009 — The Qatar Business Women Award (QBWA) gala award's featured the famed performance group, Cirque du Soleil, who conceived an exclusive performance tailored to this prestigious event. This ceremony revealed the 2008 award winners at a ceremony held at the Ritz Carlton.

    April 28, 2009 — The MOSAIC Foundation is an American charitable organization working to improve the lives of women and childen and to promote understanding between the US and the peoples of the Arab world. At its annual gala at the National Building Museum in Washington DC, Cirque's awe-inspiring stars used dance, song and acrobatics to mirage-like effect for 25 minutes persuading "the spirit of the cloud" to let it rain again.     May 12, 2009 — Cirque may have gotten its huge break at the Los Angeles Festival in the Summer of 1987, but it's the people of Santa Monica that welcomed them with open arms, making them a success here in the US. As the Santa Monica Pier celebrates its 100th Anniversary, Cirque shows support by having artists from KOOZA perform. [FOTO]

    May 15, 2009 — Specially created for Cirque’s first-ever participation in this prestigious event. Bringing over 40 performers from around the world, and using an array of music from Cirque's catalog ("Rideau" from Saltimbanco, and "Once Upon a Time" from La Nouba), the following acts were performed: Cyr Wheel (Quidam), Banquine (Quidam), Fire-Knife Dance (Alegría), Icarus, Handbalancing (Varekai), Fast-Track (La Nouba), Icarian Games (Varekai), Unicycle, and The Baron.     June 13, 2009 — The cast of ZAIA dazzled silver screen Indian Cinema superstars as an exclusive performance of the Cirque du Soleil spectacular marked the launch of the 10th Annual International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards.

{2009} /// "Le Rêve Continue!" - CDS 25th Anniv

    June 16, 2009 — Cast, crew and staff attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people to simultaneously walk on stilts. Events in Orlando and Las Vegas coincided with similar in Montreal, Moscow, Fortaleza (Brazil) and Macau with additional events in Lisbon (Portugal), Nagoya (Japan), New York City and Tokyo (Japan). Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, through official proclamations, named June 16th Cirque Day in their respective cities. Las Vegas Boulevard was also renamed Cirque du Soleil Boulevard for the day. [ FOTO ]

{2009} /// The 375th Anniversary of Trois-Rivières

    September 27, 2009 — Located half way between Montréal and Québec, Trois-Rivières boasts a remarkable concentration of points of interest for history buffs and in 2009, the city celebrated the 375th anniversary of its founding. To underscore the occasion, celebrations, special events, exhibitions and a variety of entertainment took place, which Cirque du Soleil capped off by creating its closing ceremony.
